Just a few pics of mine and the farms landy fleet. Mine are 2 200tdi defenders, and 110 and a 90, the farms td5 90 (pic is of it fully loaded with feed ) and my discovery 1 v8 which I might have to part company with as I have too many landies

Nice collection! :)

Shame to get rid of the V8 Disco, though.

I adore that disco, has a full straight through and just roars. Shame about the 12mpg which is part of the reason to go. If I was to keep it then it would only end up being sat in a shed somewhere. Also there's a possibility of me getting an s1 in the near future ;)

Have you considered LPG conversion. V8s are nice, and there is the possibility of more anti diesel legislation in the near future! :(

S1 sounds great, pics when you get it, please!

It was converted but when I got it the tanks were a little too rusty to remover. The second issue is the nearest lpg station is 15 miles away and I rarely have any reason to go that way so sort of defeats the object for the benefits. As for the anti diesel regs I couldn't care less, we're decades away from having practical non diesel farm vehicles and that's what most of my landies are used for :)

I'll have to see where the series 1 goes. It's a bit of an awkward situation with it so there's a high chance of me not getting it at all :(

I know its not practical, I have been farming for 31 years. But that doesn't mean the govt. wont legislate about it! :(

Yeah they probably will invent some drivel which puts pressure on diesel owners, that is until they find another big problem with petrols again. It'll just keep going round in circles

They already invented the drivel. It is about emissions. Question is what they will do by way of enforcement.
At the moment there is some concern as to whether the new scrappage scheme for older diesels will be compulsory.
If it doesn't pan out like that, they may just make the VED ridiculously high, to price them off the road.
