Just given the old girl it's second service in my ownership, after the troubles I had on the first with broken drain plugs, too much oil where it shouldn't be and too little where it should be and a seized oil filter, I wasn't looking forward to it.
But all went perfectly and she is now running sweeter than ever Both diffs were done this time, much to my relief the transfer box showed no signs of pink ATF which as it was overfilled when I got her and the gearbox was full of bloody ep80, I was expecting a blown oil seal. This was a great relief.
This time round I upgraded to mtf (or at least the shell equivalent) and the gear changes are way better than the ATF was so I'm glad I made the switch.
Valve gaps were ok as expected after only six months, cleaned the cyclone breather out and greased all her nipples New filters all round and were good to go, not rushing, it took three hours.
Handbrake needs some attention as it keeps sticking on so that's a summer job I think.
If Anyones in any doubt about the gearbox oil, go with the mtf
