Good day to you all.

A friend of mine seen this 101 defender thing on the tinterweb and asked me has anyone actually built one?

I can't find much on it and most of the photos look to be computer generated to me.

What do you know about them?

So the hinge for the rear door is on the front door?

A bad photoshop, there are lots of them on the interweb. Look good still you start thinking about the engineering of how it all fits in to that package.

Cheers
Totally agree but surly someone out there has had a crack at building one. They look to good not to look into building one

OK, start thinking about the following?
where the engine will go?
Gearbox?
Tbox?
Does this leave room for the passengers?

How does all that fit into the overall package space allowed, Would you need to lift the cabin to allow space for then engine?
If you mid engine it, how would that affect cargo space, room for rear passengers?

Start to lay it out and although it may be possible you would end up with a vehicle that is not very practical and a std 110 would be a better solution.

You would probably be better off trying to fit a modified Defender body onto a terriyaki made 4x4 van/ people carrier / camper. As that would have all the mechanicals sorted.

Cheers
