Hi all

Would just like to share with the forum regulars my trip to the Loire Valley and stay with Keith (Datatek).

We set off from jersey with the beast p38 dse and took the ferry over to St Malo about 1 hour 15 mins and £240 retrun rip off but no choice, and then set about our 200 mile journey through france to just out side Poitiers and found Keith's country retreat and what a place for peace and quiet and lots of space to play with our cars.

Keith and his wife made us welcome we stayed in the lovely two bedroom gite and had a very comfortable stay, even got the beast checked out by Keith's faultmate all ok apart from one blend motor that i knew about.

Keith and Grace made us very welcome and to any one thinking of a trip to France this is a must for the welcome and the peace and the country side in the erea is stunning, going back again later in the year.

So managed 950 miles in six days and not a problem even had the computer showing 29.1 average fuel consumption not bad for a 14 year old beast well loaded most of the time.

thanks again to Keith and Grace

be back soon

Tony and Sandra:)

Glad the beast got home OK did it have more power?. That ferry fare is a rip off, double what I pay to go to the Uk on the Newhaven Dieppe crossing. We look forward to seeing you both again.

Hi Keith

yes a little more power i would say replacing the two houses made the car feel quicker to pickup speed e.g. no loss on turbo pressure so well spotted and never seen the computer reading 29.1 mpg i even took a picture whilst driving.

cant waitr to get back over but will have to save up our penny's for the ferry over it gets to double that in july and august the price for living on the island.

tony:)
