So I really enjoy driving my D3, I am an avid urban explorer and a screaming history buff (especially the Cold War and ANYTHING even remotely Soviet). Since getting the Disco there have been 2 BIG trips.

Just a few snaps in no particular order

Jealous of the place and the car! Does it cost a lot to get the car across on the ferry etc? Would love to visit some of those places.

Shane

Shane,

Tesco is your friend when it comes to ferrys. £10 of club card vouchers equals £40 on the ferry (and the euro tunnel)

Great pics! Love the walls of Titos place, nice bit of stonework!
I guess you follow this site then:http://www.28dayslater.co.uk/
Nice pic of the Li2 (Russian DC3)
Seem to be lots of abandoned MIGs around, and they dont look (from a distance!) like they have been badly mauled!
Mark

Inside was quite something too, he loved a bit of knotty pine :)
I used to be quite active on 28 but tend to keep my stuff off there these days.
The li12 was in a sorry state, a real shame. It used to sit alongside some other jets but they've gone now. As for the MiGs, sadly fewer and fewer to be found in the wild these days, this little collection was sat in a field 50ft from and active airbase - which we discovered very quickly we shouldn't have been in.

My fave MiG ever was in Latvia, in a field, we didn't drive on that occasion :(

It had it's very own security guard

Wow thats some angry looking cat!
Is that a 15 or 17? 15s must be getting pretty rare now!
The ruskies did build basic, but tough hardware.

It's a 17, found a 15 this year in the back end of Czech Rep., ive not processed the photos yet though.
The cat was as awesome as the MiG he followed us back to our car and got in. I soooooo wanted to keep him

LOL I expected to hear that he chased you off "his" property!
We have two at the farm, both try to out do each other with their hunting prowess.
They like to catch moles and mice, then bring them indoors to eat, they dont leave anything!!!
Always liked the 15-19 series, basically German origins with freebie Rolls Nene design engines!
We have some Soviet bunkers up from the farm, south Estonia, cant get to them though.
Explored stuff on Hiiumaa, Soviet radar bunkers and gun emplacements, hidden in the forests, they are laid back about public access here, the signs nearby tell you to make sure you take a torch to properly explore the deepest parts!!

Cats rock :)
Mine eats her kill under my bed at 3am - I'll NEVER get used to the sound of all that crunching. It also sounds like I need another trip to Estonia, I went in 2013 and really struggled to find 'stuff'.
