Good afternoon (as it will be there in England), so I've searched the forum already and found nothing relevant...

I have just purchased a Terrafirma brand metal light bar to fit on my D2. It goes across the front of the roof and holds four lights..

Now I cannot figure out how on earth this thing mounts on the D2, I know it goes in the drain channels somehow, but there are no instructions and unless I'm missing some kind of 'feet' or 'bases' that it attaches to, I just don't get it...

Anyone have one of these / know how it's done? I can't find a contact form on the Terrafirma website and they've ignored my private message on their Facebook page... Cheers, John.

Ummm yeah, interesting, if not especially, well helpful whatsoever! LOL Aside from the sexual preference implications of attaching such a device, let's just imagine that you live somewhere where you actually go out off road / on narrow trails around the sides of mountains at night and desire to remain on said trail as opposed to rolling down the side of the mountain in a spectacular ball of flames.. and therefore feel that having some additional lighting to enhance visibility is actually a good idea.. How would you attach the light bar?

Not sure what make mine is but has 4 small bolts which you need to drill holes for through the gutter.

Does it have some kind of plate or bracket the bolts go through? I have four nuts and bolts with mine - but no idea how they are supposed to attach to the light bar without some kind of bracket.. appreciate the feedback! :)

pic of the bar, or link to the bar may help :) looking online at some, they fit as above by drilling gutter, another i've seen clamps on to the guttter without drilling :)

Excellent point! Please see attached - not the end pieces appear to have 'cut outs' in them as if they attach to something like a plate - not holes for bolts...

Looks similar to mine but not exactly the same. Offer it up and see if it sits in the gutters, if it does I would say you need to drill four holes through the gutters and bolt it into place. I fitted the bolts through the gutter and the nuts tightened up from underneath. They are very small bolts on mine but the bar is rock solid.
