temp switch

Not sure exactly what you are asking??

There are a few sensors under the air intake plenum,
One of which will be the engine coolant temperature gauge sensor - above the fuel pump IIRC.

Then there is the engine coolant Temperature sensor which the Engine management takes its readings from which is further back than the Guage sensor, near where the glow plugs are connected from. I presume this is what you are talking about but this is not a switch but a sensor.

I'm not trying to be pedantic but the older 3.9's and such had an actual temp switch to bring on the condensor fans if coolant temp got too high. The P38 diesel does not have one of these.

Hi,

Shall be one of these two the one you'r looking for....

The sensor for the instrument panel gauge is sensor X114 and has single green wire to it.
Sensor for the engine ecu is sensor X126 and has two wires to it, one wire should be grey & blue and the other brown & green.:behindsofa:
