Gone through a number of Britpart temp senders on my Defender 90

When new everything reads well on the clock within a few weeks I’m back to square one, can anyone offer some constructive advice with regards to this as I’m reaching the end of my tether

Yes......Don't keep buying Britpart ones if the are failing:rolleyes:. Get a decent VDO sensor and gauge (or other reputable make). Standard LR gauges are next to useless anyway!

hi
ive had problems with my temp gauge sender too its on my freelander ive just done the headgasket and when it went the temp gauge stayed normal I got a new temp sender fitted it and it didn't even work ive put another gauge in fitted into a pillar mount and fitted a separate sender unit into the top rad hose its works great too ive also fitted a thermostatic fan control which I can set the temp the fans kick in

Looks like it might be a new VDO clock and sender once the latest Britpart sender fails my concern is the thread on the VDO senders as it looks like an adapter ring may be required, which I’ve seen being sold at silly money
