TDV8 Tuning

Hi. Does anyone have any knowledge or ever fitted any tuning devices to a TDV8 ie superchips or a re map.
I would like to tune my TDV8 because it seems cheep for the price you pay and the amount of more power you get according to the adverts.
What are the fors and againsts for various systems and does all the features on the Range Rover still work with the upgrade?
It would also be nice to get rid of the lag under gentle acceleration from a stop.
I would be grateful for any advice or for anyone fitting upgrades to contact me. I am in South Manchester.

is the gearbox up to the extra power? just a thought, i have heard a few horror stories about the L322 boxes and the like.

If you go for one dont buy the plug in boxes as they are a bodge, go for a proper remap and get it done by a place with a good reputation and not just the cheapest.

Another vote for Gary, he did my TDV8 sport and really knows what hes doing

Thanks for the info guys. Just been on the Alive websie, cant see any mention of the TDV8 or any milage and power figures.
Also trying to find out about transmission strength.

You don't have your location in your profile so not sure where you are.

You have two options with Alive tuning.

Either an ATRIC module that allows you you change between two levels of remap and standard remap for dealer visits like THIS

Or visit Gary at his workshop or any landrover show. He will do it in about an hour start to finish. This option is cheaper ( I got mine done at the LRO show for £300 a few years ago) but you don't have the options to change the remap or get a handy fault reader!

I would really recommend speaking to Gary rather than just looking at the website
