Tdv8 remap help pleeeeeeeze

I currently have a 07 TDV8 Vogue, i continually read about remapping as they give better performance and more importantly economy, is there anyone out there who has had theirs done and would recommend such an upgrade , if so any dealers in Kent or London, thank you kindly

woss the standard engine like ive a 4.0l V8 petrol?

BEWARE! You must inform your insurer if you remap, as if they discover this folowing an accident they will reduce cover to RTA 1937 cover - i.e. they will only cover 3rd party physical injury. Some insurers will not accept remapping, but do make sure you're getting good gen: I called Admiral yesterday to tell them I'm changing my P38 for an L322 TDV8 3.6, and wanted to economy remap it. They told me that this would automatically be declined. I emailed and explained my disappointment at this attitude towards what is essentially an eco-friendly mod, and an underwriter called me back today...

He axplained that Admiral are happy to accept remaps as follows:
0-10% increase in BHP - nominal increase in premium (pennies)
10-25% increase in BHP - modest increase in premium (in my case fully comp, 52, 9 yrs NCD, £40 extra).
>25% - Not able to cover.

Since the savings claimed are 10-15% of fuel consumption, this is a no-brainer for me, and I am just glad I don't have to change insurer to sort it.

Also doing nationwide service (my preferred remapper and a bit cheaper it appears)
