TDI300 Overheated on motorway

I cant afford it more so because of the move of home. Money will be tight for a few months... As for keeping it, it isnt really an option due to room

Well I have decided to bite the bullet, and pay for a friend to weld the sills and body mounts up. Looks like Ill be a social recluse this month!

At least the GP is on!

What I did to sort mine .. took me over a year due to illness etc!!

Well I thought I would update this thread with the outcome. The disco was in a very bad way. when we removed metal to weld fresh, it was just more and more rust - it got to a point where my mate advised me he couldn't do the welding for the price he quoted, and still be happy with the car being safe, as there was so much more rust. I decided to call it quits and sell the car on for breaking into spares.

The engine lives on in an old series 2, the axles and everything else went to a 110 enthusiast.

The good news though I have since bought a 1996 defender 90, with a 300tdi, of which I'll get some photos up soon.
