td5 wont start

wonder if anyone can help i own a disco 2 td5 , which will not start now needs jumping everytime , had service new fuel pump filters etc injector o rings and numerous other items but still no starting when running now has lack of power on occasions to , if anyone can offer advice mark

Does it need jumping cos it turns over and over for ages before starting or cos you turn the key and it's dead?

it turns over and over for ages then slowly fires up ?

theres air getting in the fuel system how ????? but you will have to find it some how mine was doing the same but would start once air purged out of lines by pump its in the garage now redoing injector seal washers if its not that they said cracked head ???? thats what yours could be but dnt take my word for it....

Like ultra said, It sounds like you have air getting into your fuel.

hi it was the fuel pipes on mine that run along the chassis from the fuel regulator to the four pipes at the rear it was sucking in air wen left letting fuel drop out of lines

im gonna try new o rings and washers again then go from there !

yeah i would try that does your pump wine for a while??? like thers air in the system????

new o rings and washers in pump stopped whining llike a pig , running ok now ! thanks for the help

foss it cant be electrical really can it if it starts after turning over for a while well getting it jump started its defanatlly fuel problems if it was electrical it would store a fault surley its got to be air in the system.... get your fuel lines pressure tested its worth doing b4 you start throwing money at things that may not be at fault!!!!!!!! have you had the crank sensor changed because it wont start if thats faulty???? or playing up!!!

take it and get it pluged in dont do what i did and change nearlly everything on it the disco and then find out its the pipes after all...
