Hi, having trouble with a 15p disco...

White smoking really bad and wont rev passed 3000rpm. Ive swapped the turbo, changed the injector harness and swapped the ecu for another known good one. Its not pressurising or putting water in the oil. Coolant is clean, map sensor is working and reading correct as is the air flow sensor and there is no faults stored in the ecu. I took the exhaust off to rule he cat out and still made no difference.

I'm stuck now and have no idea where to go next... any suggestions anyone?

What does the smoke smell of ??
Although it sounds as if its fuel related maybe an injector, bad fuel or filter
Collapsing or blocked intake pipes will restrict it.
Have you tried running it with one injector disconnected at a time see if it stops smoking.

Cant think of anything else atm ;)

I can' decide if it' oil or fuel smell. It had just been filled up at Tescos, supermarket fuel isn' the best? I never tried unplugging each injector cause it was firing oil everywhere off the chain. Would I be able to tell from nanocom injector readings?

Not wishing to worry you, but I spoke to my neighbour earlier today, On New Years he filled up at Tescos in Cornwall somewhere, by the time he got to the exit his Mondeo had stopped, Half the fuel was water. Apparently there were six people filled up and had a problem that he knows of.

Chances of that happening to you I must think are very low , but strange things do happen.

Cheers

have you still got the egr connected, when my citroén vans egr failed I had lots of white smoke no power, would not pull away, just stalled, I blocked off mine on td5 as was down on power but not sure if it was that as I changed other things at same time,It did not show anything on nanocom

Supermarkets don't have a good reputation when It comes to fuel. Or other things for that matter.

We've had water trouble at our local Morrison's...

The egr is still fitted but I think it's been deleted out the ecu as it had no readings. It is my next post of call though.

Will only take 10 mins to change the filter once you get one and would be a good start to rule it out, make sure to follow the purge proceeded as well so you don't get air in the system throwing up more faults

Hi if you do find out what the problem is please let us all know as it helps to turn form into bank of knowledge and not just a load of questions with no final results thanks

Will do, still exploring options. Going to drop the fuel tomorrow and change the pump in the tank while I'm at it.

Haven't had much progress with the cold weather lol..
it is hard this time of year, hope you get to bottom of problem,
so many times you watch a thread and do not find out the result, the results help so many people keep there cars going when they have same problem
