and????

how many run 50 /50 how many pump failurs yer had?

None cos according to landrover it is not advisable to run a TD5 on veggie oil or bio because the pumps weren't designed to run on em and as such haven't been tested. Why don't you go to landrover yourself and ask em if they recommend it. They will say the same to you as they did to me. NO. I am not saying you CAN'T run on it I am saying it is not advisable. My point is Ibby is saying ' go ahead there are NO problems'. I am saying go ahead at your own risk and understand the POSSIBLE problems it CAN cause.

When LR were designing the Storm engine (TD5) they ran it on a test bed for 10,000 miles on Kerosene, & vegoil and on diesel that was doctored to resemble the same sort of diesel you're likely to encounter in most 3rd world countries, and it ran on all of them without any failures at all.

If that is the case why will landrover not publicly give a YES to veggie oil or bio diesel?

perhaps coz if it does fook up in two or three years time they dont want to pay for it:rolleyes:

unless you try it you'll never know

i bet even landrover don't have a clue

You are the one making the bold statement that not even landrover themselves will make. You said it'll run on it with NO problems at all. It's up to you to back up your argument. As far as I am aware no full tests have been undertaken by landrover. Redhand says they have tested one for 10,000 miles. A landrover engine does the odd mile or two more than that in it's life so WHO did test the engines and how many miles did they clock up before packing up?

so wot your all saying is no RUBBER STAMP of land-rover the rest is bull

name one car comp that has give out the rubber stamp on veg/mix
not that it maters

any way its bin subjective

It were done during the design stage to make sure they would work on cheap/substandard fuel. They didn't want to ship em out ter Effrika and find out they didn't like dirty diesel or Kerosene.
