hi guys, here's a cracker for you all..ive just fitted a new 'xyz' switch and a brand new L/R battery to my Td5 Discovery and ive now got an unbelievable problem thats got me duped!..when i switch the ignition on the hazzards flash continuously, the door locks make some sort of operation noise and my dash lights up like a Christmas tree..She turns over for Scotland but the fuel pump isnt operating and im not sure what to try next..She was working fine before i put her off the road for the 'xyz' switch and now this!..the hazzards wont stop till i pull the battery lead off and reconnect..She works fine with the key fob and the immobiliser lights go out and the doors open and close as normal but the problems dont happen till i switch the ignition on and thats when the hazzards and dash lights come on and she wont start..any of you come across this before?..the red lights on the selector work as they should till i select 'D' and its flashing,1 2 and 3 dont light up either..any ideas that can help will be greatly appreciated..cheers,Del.

ok,wee update..just went up,connected the battery and opened the drivers door with 1 press of the fob..the door opened and the immobiliser light went out,as normal, and i put the key in,turned on position one and the radio came on as normal then i turned pos 2 or ignition and the hazzards immediately came on and the rest of the car doors unlocked..that doesnt normally happen..the m n s lights are flashing and the fuel pump doesnt switch on..i had the ignition switched on whilst the 'xyz' was disconnected if that helps?..this is so frustrating, its got to be something simple that im overlooking..cheers again,Del.

sorted!.. it was a broken wire from the os inner wing fuse box to the fuel cut off switch on the ns bulkhead.. the ecu was putting her into 'crash' mode as the power wasnt getting to the ecu to go through the motions as normal.. Marc Linden Auto Electrician of Carluke came out, plugged her in,traced the fault then fixed her at a very reasonable price.. sorted and back to her best.. ;oD
