Hi all I,ve been looking at these turbo boost boxes for sale .But from what I can figure out this can only be a resister in an expensive box. Does anyone know for certain if so what is the resistance. Failing this has anyone got a box that they would look inside of just to confirm . TA.

the TD5 had a bunch of sensors all over the engine which the ECU gets it's feedback to produce the correct mappings for any given situation...
do you think fooling a single sensor to give the ECU a false feedback reading to overfuel for more power is a good idea for the long term of your engine?
either dont do it... or do it properly and have it chipped by a professional diesel tuner.
I had mine professionaly done and it's worth every penny...

I agree with battenberg,
You may well run into all kinds of fuelling,cooling and general running problems with these " lie-ing " type " enhancements ".
A proper " re-map " of the ecu produces far better and more reliable results.
Re-maps are a lot more expensive though !.

The box is fitted in conjunction with an adjustment to the wastgate and up,s the boost from around 15psi to 20psi. and I believe the box to reduce the signel sent to the ECU so it don,t react to the higher than standard boost pressure. For myself this is the final thing left to tune as it has been chipped, larger intercooler, EGR removed K+N air filter, exhaust freeflow viscous fan removed and replaced with Kenlow. All in the name of more MPG...honest!!

Does anybody know exactly what is in the magic box of tricks? £60+ seems an awful lot of money for what I can only think is something not much more than a resistor?!? Anybody got one they can open? Got the remap and other improvements.

the only box I personally know off are these
