TD5 Steering Wheel/Airbag

Am I right in thinking that a 2005 TD5 steering wheel doesnt have an airbag, despite looking like it has one?

I want to know if the steering wheel is easily removeable to swap for a smaller one.

I believe replacing the steering wheel is a bit tricky and some of the nice looking after market wheels may have to be adjusted so the cancel your indicators. I have never attempted it... sure others will help further

This one is from a 99 td5,if you have the same there is no air bag.

No Defender has airbags.
The seating position would make them dangerous, so they've never been fitted and never will be, until there's a major re-design.
