TD5 Starting Troubles

I've got a TD5 90, sometimes the engine splutters while driving and sometimes won't fire up, it turns over but won't fire up!

Also when trying to start it, I have no engine light or coil light, if I leave it long enough these lights will come back and it will start.

Any ideas?

From what you describe I suspect low battery voltage. If you have less than 12.5 volts charge the battery up and see if that fixes it, if it does and the problem reoccurs soon after then a new battery is needed.

Check the battery and engine earth straps too.
