I have a Disco TD5 and whenever anyone is sat in the main back seats there is a constant creeking noise from the rear load cover area. This does not happen when there is no-one in the back seats. I have heard that there is some sort of modification that can be done. Does anyone know anything about this modification or another way to stop the creeking?

I too have the same problem, i have not found a solution yet although taking off the load cover reduces the noise. Also, i have noticed after 15min or so of noise it go's quiet. Im guessing the rub point has warmed?? Please post of you find any mods ect.

I have the same noise as well, and as for going quiet after a while I think you just get accustomed to it!:doh::doh::frusty::frusty:

After speaking to the main dealer the modification part applies to the older Discoverys (300tdi). I have found that is is the back of the rear seat rubbing against the wheel arch. I stuffed ajacket between the seat and the wheel arch and got someone to sit in the rear seat and the noise was gone. I think a bit of foam or maybe those anti-scuff pad you get for the feet of furniture might be enough to stop the noise.

I have had exactly the same problem. I found that the best thing to use was an old pair of the wife's knickers. Keeps the dog entertained in the boot no end.:D
