Hi,My 2000 td5 has been off the road for over a month now,so need some help!Problems started when the truck would not respond to the fob as in disarm/arm immobiliser and unlock doors,Local garage suggested ecu to be sent off to have the immobiliser removed and whilst it was there to remap it too its the old MSB Style ecu so the chip is swapped etc,

Anyhow received the ECU back Refitted it,Immobilser disarmed fine,Went to start car and just winds over and over with no firing at all,Just cranking

Sent back to them again, received back again same story,So we got hold of another ECU and sent them that as apparently the original was screwed,Received that back after remap and Still exactly the same!

Now in-between the back and forth of ECU's i visited my local scrapyard and got hold of another ECU,Plugged that in and she fired into life straightaway,Got in to drive off and the throttle doesn't respond to anything! We have recoded injectors etc via snap on diagnostics unit still no joy to throttle input

So now the truck has received the remapped ecu once again and will start but no throttle response too, apparently there is a software clash within the remap chip in the ECU,so a new chip is being fitted to the ecu that should sort the problem,If this doesn't work anyone got any ideas?!

Should i just be able to swap a MSB Style ecu from another truck as long as its the same and it would work after coding injectors or am i missing something?

Cheers!

The throttle has to be correctly programmed for either 2 track or 3 track. Make sure yours is programmed correctly. pre 2002 were generally 2 track where as post 2002 are usually 3 track.
