Any offers of advise fellas...
I have a leak of engine oil (1/4 L every 100 miles approx). The oil is present on the rubber coolant pipe which runs down from the alternator area & then connects to a metal coolant pipe which runs transverse across the bottom of the rad.Its the pipe with the coolant drain plug.
Coincidence maybe that my brake pedal travels very slightly further than normal all the time now.
Am I right to be looking for a Vac pump leak & or the pipework in the same area?

cheers

It's HIGHLY likely to be the oil feed pipe to the Vac pump on the alternator, quite a common problem and imo one of those pipes you should replace as a "service" item, ie every 20k or so........ if you haven't already.

Not unheard off for them to suffer the same fate as the autobox cooler pipes, by which I mean the swage pops off and it makes rather a mess !!, sometimes they just spilt and obviously still make a mess :D

I posted a piccy etc in the topic below ;)
