TD5 not cranking, but I get a click

All sorted. The contacts for the main 12v feed were as grubby as anything. Cleaned them up, and all is good again. A little smear of vaseline will hopefully prevent that happening again anytime soon.

I also opened up the solenoid to check its condition, and it was pretty much as good as new, so hopefully that's my starter issues sorted for some time...

Did you bother removing the starter or were you able to do it on the vehicle?
