Hi everyone,
My name is Russell and at the age of 71, as a lockdown project I purchased a 2004 Td5 that needed some TLC (and a few bits as well.) There was no radio fitted from original or speakers although I did discover that the wiring was in place for the radio fit. As the centre console only had a plastic cubby slot in place I had to find a radio bezel, that was fun and I also found a new ( old stock ) Landrover radio cassette which was of the correct vintage as I have also fitted a cubby box in place of the centre seat and inside it, have placed a Phillips Land Rover 6 cd autochanger. Cut holes and fitted speakers in the dash and then ran into a major problem and I would appreciate some feedback from all you LR experts since someone somewhere has had the same experience before. The problem is that I cannot find a support cage that actually fits the radio !!. The radio appears to be a couple of mm wider side to side that any of the cages which I have tried. Can someone advise me please. I would be most grateful
