Unfortunately today I noticed my inner wings on my td5 90 were pretty badly corroded. Flaking off under the under seal, developed a hole as per usual. Now I thought these were galvanised?

Is it possible to remove the inner wings without the outer wing or is there no chance? I'll admit a lot of the land rover is in bits for minor restoration of the body work, however I really didnt fancy making the project larger by removing both wings etc.

Also, are all the pre puma inner wings the same? Dont really fancy welding them due to corrosion or galv.

Thanks all

you need to remove the outer wings then the inner wings, the out wings mainly hang on the inner wings.

Fit galv ones, available from a few places.
Bad they have rusted out, my 1991 is on its original galv ones, and they are pretty substantial steel aswell

What year TD5 do you have? It’s a bit concerning that the inner wings have rotted out already.

I totally agree chaps, bad they are rusting out. The chassis is unpatched, rusty but doesn't need any patches. Not too impressed by the inner wings though, perhaps a duff batch, unless a chemical of some sort has affected the galv?!

Gutted I've got to remove the wings, might just be able to get away with the one. Do you know if all the galved ones are the same, seems hundreds of different options on parts diagrams
