Looks like I'm suffering for the oil down the wiring harness of my TD5.

Going to change the injector loom cable and wondered which i should use.

They are on Ebay for about £30 but nit sure if this is original Land Rover or not.

Should i use a genuine Land Rover one - IF so where can i get one.

And will i need a new Rocker Cover gasket also?

thanks all.

£30 ones are aftermarket, from memory LR ones are about £60. Have a guess where you might get a genuine Land rover part. As its off I would change it.

Did mine last week, for the few quid the new gasket cost I didn't think it was worth not replacing it and didn't want to have the cover off only to find the old gasket was shot. There's not a lot of clearance at the back but was recommended to use some gasket compound to hold it in the cover groove, seemed to do the job OK anyway.

Just replaced mine with a pattern part along with rocker gasket, cant complain at the price £35 all in.

Very easy to fit, if you have access to a compressor blow the harness out, i used brake cleaner to clean with and flush. You may need to clean connector on ECU a few times while remaining oil trickle down the harness.

this item should be a service item anyhow, change and repleace every 2-3 years.

I did my top loom a while back , and thought my troubles were over , untill i seen the oil comming from the lower loom into the ECU , so I made another , I reused the top rubber gasket , it was nice and firm , and torqued it to correct settings. all fine , no leaks , another problem off the list
