Apologises as this is probably on another threat somewhere but couldn’t see it with a quick look!
My defender TD5 head gasket is cracked/broken. I’ve been offered quotes on a new engine (I’m cautious to this as it’s on 160,000) or replace the head gasket. Normally I would just replace the head gasket if I believed the engine was sound but we’ve had a few problems so far (mainly fuel related).
I just don’t want to replace the head gasket and be doing the engine soon after!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
