My Disco's on 101k miles, and I'm getting concerned about the front wheel bearings. For a while they've (intermittantly) grumbled on long smooth corners when cornering at speed. At the last MOT, the guy said they would be due replacing soon.

The part appears to be a complete hub assembly, and very expensive (I've searched google to find anyone who reconditions them, but to no avail).

Anyone got any hints or tips here?

The part # seems to be TAY100060 for the front hub assembly, they seem to be selling for £190-£230 plus vat (and delivery) on the web. I guess I'll need to do both at once (the brake pads are original so I had better do those too). I wonder if there's any issue with disconnecting the ABS (I don't have a computer thingy to reset anything)??

Help - any advice? Anyone know of a company who do an exchange/recon service for the TAY100060?
