all sorted ,,now
offside front is longer by about 30mm they are loaded for that side because of fuel tank ,on standard o e springs

Sorry to disagree, but the springs are handed on all tge TD5 D2,s !.
Offset engine position and torque put extra load on tge drivers side, hence thus spring is longer.
The springs for the various suspension setups are coded with coloured paint marks. From memory, the 2003 onwards is purple/purple one side and purple/grey the other.

Again, that's not quite right. The drivers side is longer, but only by about 10mm. It has nothing to do with the fuel tank as that is mounted centrally at the rear.

yep your right 50 pence ,,i orded them genuine ,and when they came i thought they had dropped a bollock cause one were longer than other lol ,but yes purple purple is near side and puple grey is offside ,thanks again karl

You'll notice a big difference with new springs fitted. New shocks would make it even better.

cheers mate ,,only changeing them cause last coil on offside spring broke ,so it failed test ,,ive been out and changed then tonight so all good now ,i did back ones and shocks last year ,hopefully trouble free now for another year
I had a front coil snap too . Some years ago , always thought it was a real ramdom thing to bust , more so as I don't go off the Tarmac , that to was only picked up on a mot ,as I never noticed any change in height or ride .out of interest Did yours snap one coil up from bottom .

I also notice you are in Rotherham. Lots of facelift headlights gets nicked up there. Just keep vigalant mate.
