TD5 footwell mats in 200tdi

It will go in, but as the TD5 has a larger gearbox tunnel, then it will have gaps around your LT77 narrow tunnel.

Really? Hmmm, dont want that. Guess I'll just have to keep looking for the proper lt77 bulkhead rubber mat.
Yes they are different sized tunnels. I’m not sure exactly how big the gap will be, but it will have one.

Are you talking about the bulkhead footwell sound insulation? Rather than the floor mat? I honestly don't know, but if that's the case they might be a similar size.
I have Td5 floor mats in my 300Tdi and they are too big really, length and width.
The TD5 and 300Tdi “should” have the same gearbox tunnel, so they should be a decent fit in yours. The LT77 is tiny in comparison to the R380 tunnel.

Yeah I'm talking about the bulkhead footwell thingy. Is the difference significant? I do have sound insulation over the transmission tunnel.
