Td5 extra fuel filter (diesel)

you can put an addition in line filter (within reason) where you want)

but if youre getting dubious fuel regularly, then place your filter in a postion thats easy to get at before the main filter & carry a spare so if you do get problems it can be changed in mins

When i started using mine on a Biofuel i knew that the change would flush some of the crap out of the old tank.

withing a few tanks i could sense a fuel blockage and so when i got to a rest place on the road whipped the in line-filter off and stuck a new one on & - back in business

The fuels system of a TD5 is a bit complicated and doesn't lend itself to the sensible ideas that normal cars benefit from.

Try getting a powerplus unit fitted, problem solved but also improves economy. Save petrol, diesel & cut pollution emissions. Fuel catalyst technology by Powerplus had them on a few of our cars, works well.

Another filter wont improve the quality of the fuel abroad bud, just change your filter more often and you will be fine. The only thing that will improve the quality ( ignition ) of the fuel is a powerplus unit or fuel additive, they are tried and tested not just by our dealership but heavy industries as well.
