Td5 ecu interchangeable?

Looking at a defender converted to td5

10p engine and the ecu has been removed

I can see defender / discovery ecus are different part numbers but are they interchangeable? Will I need to find out the part number off the old one and get one the same ?

IIRC a 10p engine must have a 10p ECU. The Defender and Discovery ECUs are slightly different as a Defender is 122bhp and a Disco 136. To be safe, swap like for like. Feeling daring and an extra 14 HP go for a disco ECU... I'm sure someone who has done this will be along to give some advice through actual experience.
