TD5 Disco Exhaust Modification

After reading all the threads about making my TD5 run better, I have taken the cat off and the center silencer out of my exhaust. It now revs better and seems to pull well, the only problem now is it sounds like a rally car! I think I will have to put the silencer back on. Am I going to notice much performance difference if I do put it back on?

Little chance of me putting them back on my TD5 Defender! Love the sound and love the way it pulls, and for some reason I get better readings on the MOT with them out than in.
