Hi guys,
Bit of a story with this one.
But now I'm stuck, need help please as I'm outta ideas.
2000 td5 discovery.
Started leaking water, looked like a good trickle dripping from the back of the engine, but couldn't pin point it. On inspection looked like the heater hose (inlet?) Had been bodged with a sleeve and jubilee clips, so replaced it, still leaking. So thought it must be the metal pipe from the oil cooler, so pulled it out and have replaced it. Still leaking. So with a torch and a mirror it looks like it might be from around the bulkhead side of the fuel pressure valve. Could it be here? Is the gasket between the frv to the block a water chamber? Is there any other water housings around here? I'm really getting rather desperate, but would love to repair this myself, rather then letting the garage empty my wallet.

Has any one had something similar in this area?

Thanks for your help

Steve

Thanks guys I will check it out
It does leak more from the bulkhead end, it is dripping from somewhere, on to the bell housing, and off that onto the floor via a cross member. I did breifly inspect the fuel cooler and couldn't see anything of concern, it looks to be to far forward for my leak. But will look more carefully

Ok so couldn't see anything around the fuel cooler, so took it to the garage to be pressure tested in a hope that would show where it's leaking from. Diagnosis is the core plug at the back of the head has failed.

Is there a core plug there? Can it be changed in situ?
