Td5 Compression test

Hi again all, has any one used this TOOL for there td5?
Just wanted to know the correct porceedure when doing it, ie is it ok to crank the engine with the rocker cover off, as i have the rocker shaft out aswell or will i be covered in oil?

would turning over by hand produce enough pressure ?

Turning by hand no good you only need to crank 6 compression strokes first stroke should be around 150-160 jot it down then crank for another 5 compression strokes then jot down that result should be around 400 psi oil will come up if you do it any more than this

Ps that pikavant tool is ace

Also remove fuel pump relay
