Folks

Driving a works vehicle 2.5 TD5 110 in latest freezing conditions.... noticed the heater doesnt churn out any hot air, its not even warm.

Even after 15min of high revs it still doesnt throw out any warm air. Fan works at all speeds

As its a works vehicle I dont want to waste any of my time ripping the console apart.

But for those of you who have gone before.... is there even a heater matrix in some of the lower spec commecials. Or something like an airlock in the heater matrix

Thanks

I have the same problem in my 90, it gets hot after a while but about 15 minutes worth of driving. I just put it down to it being a Land Rover to be honest!

Cheers! All appears to be grand.

Have drove TD5's before that heat up eventually. But this thing does alot of towing and still doesnt heat up. Its due for a service but the workshop will just hit you with the bill and say thats the way they all are. Guess I'll have to rip the centre console and bulkhead trim apart to see what going on myself.

perhaps if you check the linkage, from the dash to the heater matrix. it actually pulls a valve which allows the coolant from the main system to run thru a tiny radiator in the heater matrix.

if this linkage is broken, the valve could be stuck in a closed position, hence not allowing the hot coolant from the main system (engine) to run thru. You'll get the fan running, but no hot air coming thru.

Problem sorted thanks again achuakh

Linkage has disconnected on heater matrix, real easy to get at, unlike freelander where you have to remove console.
