Has anyone got any ideas whats going on with my clutch. I Changed my gearbox from auto to manual with all required parts. But I cannot get the clutch to bleed at all i Managed to get half a clutch pedal used it for a day then it just gets worse again! Ive changed My master cylinder. But when i put my foot down with the nipple open it feels so soft like its not even pumping the fluid out. Ive tried to bleed it fo about 5 hours and it just wont bleed at all Ive also looked at the slave cylinder and that looks good. I need to get i bled up though as i have a job interveiw on monday. But its just not happening and very very anoying! Thanks Dan.

had this with brakes on a car some years ago. Solved by sucking the fluid though using a bike pump and a bit of tube. It seems that the system needs the weight of the fluid to keep the washes against the sides of the cylinders. Worth a try perhaps ?

Hello mate, I think if you've spent that amount of time trying to bleed it without much luck it does seem to point to the master cylinder. I assume it is a used one that's fitted.
All I can suggest as you're on a budget is a cylinder overhaul kit. If there is no scratches/scoring down the bore a new set of seals should do the trick.

I recently tried to buy a seal kit for a master cylinder (Fiat Punto), the guy in the autospares shop told me thet they haven't made them for years.
 
Peterboro's a bit far from me in Ruislip otherwise you could have borrowed it.

As far as bleeding is concerned I'm no expert but do you get a build up of pressure if you pump the pedal with all the bleed nipples closed?

If you do it may be something you can bleed out but if you don't get an increase in pedal pressure I would have thought it's more likely to be the seals that are at fault.

You might be able to bleed the circuit backwards - i.e. pump new fluid in via the slave cylinder using a syringe and a bit of pipe??

no pressure at all with the nipple closed. and when you open it. it doesnt seem to feel like it pushing fluid down the line. Ive changed the master cylinder for a new one and had the slave off slave looks good.
