Started my Td5 this morning and immediately there was vibration and it was also noticable through the clutch pedal . Went after a few minutes but came back again . In hindsight there was occasional vibration at about 50 mph but I was thinking it was UJ / doughnut etc even though they all checked out fine .
Left it and took another car - I'm thinking it's the dual mass flywheel acting up . (Changed them in a Golf Tdi and Bora Tdi recently but they weren't causing much trouble other than a rattle on tickover .)

I had a 300 Tdi up to last August and changed the clutch in that by removing the engine . Is this a practical option with the Td5 , I imagine there is a lot more wiring etc due to the extra electronics .

Any advice greatly appreciated .

Changed my dual mass and clutch on disco td5 not so long ago, moved engine forward as far as possible. Not to many wires to worry about, it took a whole day and the next morning to complete. The only problem we had was lining the engine back up with the box due to it tilting over when we split them. Other than that no worries.:D
