The plunger on that switch can be adjusted to touch the pedal -

+1 on that ^^^^ especially that it has a N/C contact within which opens when the pedal is depressed but if it's not closed while the pedal is free the fuelling is affected...happened to me many yaers ago when i knew less about Td5's. https://www.landyzone.co.uk/land-rover/jerks-in-lower-gears-transmission-shunt.184831/#post-1949274 .. so pull out the plunger as much as possible without ruining it eventually check the inputs with nanocom ort similar

She drives! I drove 30km to my buddys house and everything worked good. No lights or codes. Backed it up for the last time in my garage with the auto box just 9 days ago.

Things I still need to take a look at:

1. Trim the center console and make a plate to cover the hole left by the auto box selector so the stick "boot" fits
2. Wire up the clutch switch (looks like it works fine without it so i don't have a rush with that)
3. My DIY CDL wire is rubbing against a fuel line a bit.
4. The clutch bites too far down the travel
5. (???)

Now that i've put some miles on it, I can say it is a completely different vehicle, and the High range gearing is surpisingly tall.🤔

Turns out the low clutch bite point actually just needed to be worn in because I got a brand new one, flyhwheel included. Weirdly enough this is the very first brand new clutch I have ever installed and driven.
