I did see the post earlier about the 300 Auto getting hot, but thats pulling a Trailer in the heat.
Today i drove for 30mins up and down lanes ,some hills etc and just towards the end of my journey going down a big hill at about 20mph, using brakes, the red transmission light came on. Stopped car as at destination, and hour later left and no light. Drove back different route nothing. Nearly home the other end after making few stops and some city driving been sitting in traffic for couple of minutes on hill coming onto roundabout and just after i got onto the flat, the light came on again for 5 seconds, flashed a bit and went off. Drove for another 5mins and nothing.
Dont understand why it could be, its not lugging any weight, outside temp around 20 degrees.
Gearbox oil checked very recently and its fine.
Any suggestions please?
