td5 alarm...

Hi landy lovers.. after a six month lay up of my td5 110 I need to move it because I need to ge my caravan out that stuck behind it !! any way the battery was flat as a witches.. so I charge it up and every time I go to reconnect the battery the alrm goes off !!! the fob didn't do nothing so I changed the battery in that but sill no good.. any help would be great..many thanks stuart.

Have you tried entering the security code using the door open/close and ignition on/off faff as that can resync your system. That assumes you have the code obviously!

You might have a look in your owners handbook for battery disconnect, and key fob battery replacement. This can vary between model year. Until you get a definitive answer you could try resynchronising the key fob by standing outside the car and pressing the lock button on the fob 4 or 5 times.

Hello.. many thanks for the replys... I had absolutely nothing when ibought the car.. no codes nothing.. I shall try the lock button thing ths afternoon and let you know how I get on... thank you stuart

Google for the handbook, should be able to find a free download. It should have the answers to your questions.

Try switching on ignition switch before connecting the battery, read this on here somewhere.
