Hey Mike

Have only just joined the "Zone" but thought you would be interested to know that last week my 2003 TD5 Disco ll started to have EXACTLY the same probs as yours. So far I have:-

changed engine oil + 2 filters
fitted new air filter
fitted new fuel filter
fitted new injector harness + new cover gasket and front cam blanking plug(leaking a bit of oil)
cleaned MAP (was quite dirty)
Quite a bit of oil in red ECU plug...cleaned etc (didn't go into ECU)
cleaned 3 earth connections near battery also cleaned earth connection near alternator bracket

This am... great difficulty starting but after a few mins ran perfectly for about 20 mins..then back to "rough running and lack of power"

This pm...so ****ed off have booked it into local dealer for next Thurs am for diagnostics
check and hopefully remedy.

Good luck with yours will let you know outcome with mine

Regards, Rod

Hi guys looks like the garage have found the problem.

When I took it in to have the head gasket done i provided them with the Injector seals and I rings which they fitted for me.

When I had the lack of power after the HG job I took it back in for them to sort it.

After a day of searching they ruled out pretty much everything and the only thing sticking in his head was the fact I brought non genuine o rings and seals.

He called and said he was going to fit a set if genuine LR o rings and seals, hour or so later he called to say jobs s good en!

Pulling like a train and idles well again and he also didn't ask for any further money and apologised for the inconvinience.

Top service and one really happy guy has his disco back :) :)

Garage was....
