TD4 Valuation

I have been looking to buy a van and trade in my td4

Its a 03 td4 serengeti with 72000 miles and the first offer i have had is £3500

I nearly cried as i paid £16000 4 years ago

Is this the going rate or is the dealer taking the ****

interesting, saw a 53 plate petrol sell at brit car auctions for 3750 but that was petrol so guess yours will be worth a lot more.

To get a realistic valuation for your td4 you need to know what price they are currently selling for. Look on autotrader website and enter in your model details as if your looking to buy one. that should give you a good idea as what price to ask for. Dealer will only offer you trade or auction value.

having worked in the motortrade for many a year, one garage can differ to another pending on being a volume seller or not.it also pends on service history and physical condition. it may be worh comparing to dealer prices local to yourself. certainly dont accept the first offer off any dealer , compare and compete between a few.

ive just bought a TD4 and i would expect to have paid around £5000 for this car and defo no less than £4800. But obviously it all depands on condition, history etc...? I would just say avoid garages they'll have your pants down!

I'd say about 5K. Depends what your trading in for etc. Def get more in a private sale but sometimes it hassel and you have to pay for the ads and haggle etc. I've managed to get a pretty good deal usually from a part ex. I refused one a while back and ending up selling private for less just to get shot.
