i found out what my problem is it is turbo lag I have put some turbo cleaner in the with the diesel topped up and if it does not go any better its a new turbo so at least I have found my problem.

Excellent ty hd3 :)......

& so it continues fuel tank pump sender changed it’s improved the power but still losing Power at 3000 rpm although it isn’t every time now???????

but still losing Power at 3000 rpm
wouldn't hurt ( except for ££ ) to replace the engine bay low pressure pump
the rear-arch ones usually get right noisy when they wear out
you might hear it when the ignition is on start .. before the engine is cranked
like a buzzing noise ..
a new lp.pump is about as loud as a small domestic refrigerator ( aprox. )
if that ..
the lp.pump doesn't work all the time ( according to a LR techie i asked )
it freewheels when fuel demand is low .. something to do with an internal bypass valve

was also thinking along the lines of the turbocharger
in that IF the vanes stick at the maximum boost angle
it will cause an overboost issue ..
whereas the ecu will cut the power when the boost pressure gets too high

except that you mentioned:
even when I slow & go down to 1st gear still got the problem
you take it up to 3k rpm in 1st  ( jkn :)
so as there's eff all boost pressure there ..it's probably not the turbo / map sensor
causing it ..
unless your going up a very very steep incline in 1st with foot-to-floor
hauling a heavy load ..
( if you take the rpm up to 2k or 3k rpm when in neutral
( it only makes between 1 and 2 psi boost
( not much fuel needed .. therefore not much exhaust gas flow thru to propel the turbo

as you've just bought the vehicle ..
is there any service history ? .. maybe indicating what parts have been replaced
how many miles on its clock now ?

couple of informative .pdf files re the td4/m47r engine

and ..

and this is a good one for new .. or want-to-be owners ..

as a new owner .. and if the prop-shafts are fitted
digest the info regarding the VCU device
( e.g. all tyres must be same size / make / model )
so as not to damage the drivetrain .. i.e. many £££ to repair
