TD4 oil leak. whats this pipe??

i have had a small oil leak for about 3months now, i now im a lazy **** for not looking at it earlier, just got the belly pan off and cleaned everything i could see with some cloth. when i say small, i mean its about 2-3 drips every 24 hours.

i started following the oil drips back up the engine bay and found a pipe off.
here is a pic, not very good but its looking from the drivers side up towards the radiator kind of line, its directly above the drivers side drive shaft.
the bottom of the pic is towards the front of the car. its the pipe on the right of the two.


the other thing is, i havent noticed the engine oil going down, so how do i check the gearbox oil level?

Looks to me like the Turbo pipe, cant tell you though if its the inlet or out let pipe, it could be that your turbo bearing are starting to fail? Did you say this pipe was disconnected?

yeah it was off mate. if its a turbo pipe, that will explain why it feels abit more pokey!

as for the oil leak, its still leaking. its from the back of the engine, up around the rocker cover gasket. i cant see exactly, but im certain its leaking engine oil. the IRD and gearbox oil levels are both full.
