How do these things happen?
She always starts, just took a couple more cranks the last week or two.
Parked up after 38 mile commute home, with no probs, in fact running too well!
So left overnight, get in to go to work, cranks like a good 'un, but would it fire?
So, called breakdown out as pay for home start, prodded, poked, no OBD test, removed air inlet, good spray of Bradex (I really hate using that stuff) and it eventually fired up.
"Glow plugs mate" I was advised, so £45 pound later and about 2 hours, as well as finding plug in no.4 had thread stripped so wont come out, thought I'd sussed it! Battery getting to all plugs, sorted!
Would it start..............not a chance!
So, after much cursing at breakdown chap in his absence, thought better book it in somewhere as I wasn't gonna waste more money on achieving sweet f.a!
Never used them before, but came recommended, Clarkes Autocentre (very rural) at Childs Ercall, between Newport & Market Drayton Shropshire.
Top man! Left it with him, within a day advised injector 2 leaking back really bad, not enough pressure in the rail to fire up!
Agreed the repair, couple of days later, back home and sweet as a nut again.
Morel of the story, treat man with all the kit and the gear with caution.
Man with garage on a farm and loads of experience with all LR kit - wise move! :)
See how long it holds together till next bit fails!

Can not see why you were told it was in the glow plugs, as we don't really need them in our country, first always look to fuel pump, test that there is flow, then do a leak back test, a kit is very cheap, or as you say leave it to those whom know. nice to hear you are up and running though.
