Ok, I have just checked the wiring to the fuel pressure sensor it seems to be ok, it has 5v going through the white & yellow wire, so I have changed the sensor and the crank sensor checked all the vacuum pipes again AND IT'S DOING EXACTLY THE SAME THING, I'm going to replace the turbo pipes and blank off the Egr see if it help.

Also if this was a petrol car I'd say it was running way to rich, because the smell from the exhaust is really strong, not nice when you drive with the window open and choke the passengers in the back. Got to get this sorted can't be very healthy being around these fumes.

Try running it with the maf disconnected.....this will make it run on default values and rule out the maf.
Over fuelling is common with faulty injector......do a leak back test.

Having thought i had cured the problem with the oil i am now having the same problem as you. Wondered how you had got on with it.

I had loads of intermitant engine problems (55 plate TD4), rough running, lack of power and various warning lights, changed various bits and pieces, problem would go away for a while before returning, Finally changed the fuel pressure loom (less than an hour) and it has run normally ever since. At £30ish a cheap fix, if that is the problem, obviously lots of spurious signals to the ecu caused havoc with the engine management.
Just to prove how much of a problem the loom is, our local stealer keeps them in stock.
