Hi I have just got a 10yr old TD4 with M47 engine.....when really cold the aux heater is really quite good and assists warm up. However on days where this does not kick in the heater is useless and the temp guage barely gets off the the bottom reading......is this normal????

Considering age is it worthwhile replacing thermostst????
Will this be more efficient ...... also I have had some cold starting issues which apper to be related to the CTS........so I will be replacing CTS shortley.....does this control the temperature guage....???? Could this be giving me low readings????? Pressently i believe CTS is giving ECU out of range readings....giving me poor cold starting and cooling fans appear to run an awfull lot essepecially at start up.

I was going to replace thermostat and CTS and flush system and put new anti freeze in ...... in the hope this may improve overall efficeny ...any thoughts....

Regards Richard
