On my 2005 TD4 Freelander I have air in the fuel circuit which I cannot seem to bleed. I've pressurised each part of the circuit with an air supply (bike pump!) but cannot induce a fuel-leak anywhere.
I've replaced the external fuel pump and fuel filter.
I cannot find a diagram anywhere to illustrate the fuel circuit - there are plenty for the version with the in-tank pump.
Does all the fuel in the return pipe (return pipe from engine-bay) go back into the tank? Or does it go back directly to the fuel pump? If air is being sucked into the circuit by the external low-pressure fuel pump how much of the circuit do I need to inspect / replace?
