Td4 k & n

Hi people

Just wondered what people thought of using a K & N air filter on a TD4. I used to use them on petrol cars I have had but was wondering if there are any benefits on a TD4

I use panel filters as they dont draw in hot air from the engine bay.
wont add any horses just better throttle response.

hi put k&n on my td4 runs well and saids get 50000 miles till renew just a clean and spray with k & n spray got mine of fleabay gives you 2bhp more haha think it runners clean and cooler

Have put a K&N replacement filter as well (back in 2001) but shortly after I put it in my MAF went bananas. Probably the new filter was too well oiled and the aily air which went through the new filter and passed the MAF probably contamined the MAF. I can't remember I experienced any difference (noticable difference certainly not) as for more powqer/torque. Anyway, if you decided to put one in and you have to clean/oil it, do it only sparsely so that no extra oil is sucked out.
