Hi again... picking up plenty of tips from here thanks for all your help.


Just a question on the TD4 injectors - i've read they are prone to seizing in the head at 100K plus, which is obviously a problem if one fails. Just wondering if it's worth removing and cleaning at next service (this weekend) - would a little copper grease harm anything?

Dunno about the 100k, but in my expeience they can fail/seize time un time again...yer know when sumfing is going wrong when the ride get lumpy...dunt use bosch parts eiver...

Other guys may no more on cleanin un copper grease...persnly, I wud replace not clean after 100k.
 
yeah performance is fine currently, just wondered if they we're worth removing when I service in case they're starting to stick. Thought cleaning them might prevent a sieze if I need to replace. Read someone on here had a mare trying to get a failed injector out.

Sods law they'll start acting up after i've had em out!

every 20k is more like it....they are a reet bastard ta remove, un yes copper slip every 20k un its a 1/2 job. . . .after 20k a nuke bomb wunt git em out ,trust me ive bin there

Ming as spoken, e knows wat he is talkin abawt...wud still fink abawt replacing after 100k tho if they look iffy or are leakin...if even one leaks ya will notice slow drop in performance, even harder to notice power drop in deezel!
 
reet ma last post ternite , but er real good tip fer any doozles. . . .sted er stickin in injector cleaner. . . .a bad move int tank ,as it removes all the crud in yer tank ,then it can fook yer tank pump[known to be a week spot] un block yer fuel filter ,better un a lot cheeper ,say every 80ltrs er doozle ,slap in 1ltr of asda's cheapest veg oil . . . .this mite sound bonkers . . .but it will slowly clean yer plastic fuel tank un keep yer injectors tip top . . . .you will have ta change yer fuel filter on er regular basis [un it wurnt help yer git yer injectors oot] but it will purr like er pussy. . . . .ming tip special :) :) :)
